The 2024 Primary Election will be held on May 14th and the General Election for 2024 will be held on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 in Randolph County, West Virginia. You must be registered to vote 21 days before November 5th to vote in the 2024 General Election.

Jan. 1 – May 8: Eligible voters may apply for a Primary Election absentee ballot

March 29: County Clerks to begin mailing absentee ballots to voters who have submitted absentee applications to county clerks

April 23: Voter Registration Deadline

May 1 – May 11: Early Voting In-Person period

May 8: Deadline to submit Absentee-by-Mail Application (must be received by county clerk on this date)

May 13: Deadline to hand-deliver Absentee Ballot to County Clerk’s office

May 14: Deadline to mail Absentee Ballot to county clerk (must be postmarked by this date)

May 14: Primary Election Day

May 15: Absentee Ballots mailed without a postmark accepted (absentee ballots without a postmark cannot be counted if received by county clerk after this date)

Absentee Ballots

In West Virginia, certain registered voters may receive and vote an absentee ballot by mail.

Voters may submit an absentee ballot application beginning January 1 for the upcoming May Primary Election, and beginning on the 84th day before the General Election.
